How to Renew an Indonesian Domestic Helper’s Passport in Singapore (2025 Guide)

If your Indonesian domestic helper’s passport is expiring soon or has run out of pages, it’s important to renew it early to avoid delays in work permit renewals or travel plans.

Step 1: Book an Online Appointment

All applicants must book an appointment in advance for immigration services via:

Slots are limited, so early booking is advised.

Step 2: Prepare Required Documents

Your helper will need to bring the following to her appointment:

1. Completed Form PERDIM 11 (application form)
2. Current Passport + Photocopy
3. Singapore ID documents: Work Permit Card OR In-Principle Approval (IPA) + Photocoy

All photocopies must be printed on A4 paper, and original documents must be presented for verification.

Optional: Passport Delivery via SMARTPAC

If your helper prefers not to return to the embassy for collection, she can choose to have the new passport mailed to her residential address via SMARTPAC.

To use this option:

• Purchase a SMARTPAC envelope from any SingPost branch
• Bring it to the biometric/photo-taking counter on the day of submission
• Submit a completed SmartPAC disclaimer form

SMARTPAC is optional and only needed if the helper chooses postal delivery instead of self-collection.

Step 3: Costs & Payment

Payment is cashless only via PayNow at the embassy. The cost depends on the type of passport and urgency:

• For a standard 48-page passport, the cost is S$31.
• For an electronic 48-page passport, the cost is S$57.
• For express same-day service (to collect the passport on the same day afternoon), the cost is S$88.

Keep your payment receipt — it must be presented during collection or when using delivery service.

Step 4: Service Hours & Passport Collection

Submission: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays)

Collection: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays)
